New Issue of IndieTude

Just a quick note to announce the long overdue update of this website. Yeah,
I  know it’s been waaaayyyyyy  toooooo long, but I doubt any of you even noticed.

One of my New Years’ resolutions is to start updating this site more often.
One of the problems in updating this site has been trying to unlock the puzzle
of how to properly archive our issues and link them to the site. Each time I
thought I had it sussed – it failed. So Fuck it  I say!  Back to the drawing board.

Lots of things have changed. The first, is the loss of my key writer and
photographer. She finally got a good paying gig and she doesn't really have
the time to give her talent away for free anymore. Thankfully, I still had a couple
of articles Sandra submitted months earlier. The articles may be a little out of
date, but Sandra did a great job covering these incredible artists. Case in point -
her interview with Michelle Malone. And her photos put the icing on the cake!
Sandra - Thanks for your support and contributions. Your welcome to submit
your articles and photographs anytime. I still can't pay ya, but your contributions
are always appreciated.

One person who has continued to keep the faith and possess an extra dose of
patience is Sheena Metal.  She has provided Indietude with a series of articles,
which are featured in this issue. Thanks Sheena for all your support. I hope
everyone will take the time to read Sheena’s columns. She has insight and
provides great advice to struggling artists in the indie community.

In future updates, I may be changing the direction of Indietude. At one time,
I thought this indie concept could grow, now I'm not too sure. After witnessing
the total apathy and lack of cooperation of some -
not all indie artists I pretty
much gave up in frustration.

To the many artists who have been so supportive and friendly - I thank you for
your kindness, patience and support.  This rant is not directed at you. Like your
music, this is a labor of love.  In the indie community, one hand should wash the
other. Sometimes I feel like I'm out of soap - so please bear with me.

Soooooooooo, In the future, we will try to be more timely with our updates. We
hope to feature artists, either through their live performances, interviews and /or
CD reviews. If any artist  wants to submit their CD for possible review  than send
it in. If you want someone to check out your live show - e-mail me.  The choice is
yours.

If I listen to all the political candidates – this is the year of change. Mahatma
Gandhi believed that
"We must be the change we want to see in the
world."
But remember, there is more to change than just talking about it,
or listening to others talk about it. Stay engaged and be inspired.

Peace to All
