Wow, I can't believe it's already March.
Well we're starting a new trend on Indietude - a timely update! Because the
January '08 update occurred late in the month, I thought I'd run it through
February.
In this issue I've made a few changes. First, I went Photoshop crazy and updated
the Indietude logo and navigation buttons. I like the changes. The "Spark Your
Destiny" design on the amp stands out a little more. I want to thank Danielle
Egnew for all her help. Danielle originally designed our logo and now she has
helped me take over it's upkeep. Danielle - Thanks always.
We have a diverse lay-out of pages this month. I'm very pleased to feature an
extensive interview with Danielle Egnew. She is our A side feature. The interview
was submitted by Lindsay Kambouris and Lindsay did a great job on the Q & A.
Thanks Lindsay!
- B side - We are taking a look at a true indie moment at the Academy
Awards thanks to Jon Stewart - our Indie Hero.
- BizNews offers up more insightful information for the indie artist from
Sheena Metal.
- IndieNewz - We are pleased to announce the USA songwriting winners list
for 2007 which includes 3 songwriters in the L.A. area! The USA Song
writing Competition for 2008 has been announced as well as the
International songwriting competition and we are carrying the info on
how to enter. And Sheena Metal had a bunch of good news in January
and February and she shares that with us.
- Spin Cycle is back with CD reviews of Michelle Malone, Breech, Sean
Wiggins, Brandi Carlile. Changing Modes review will be added in a few
days. Plus, I'm pleased to announce that we are featuring an audio play
feature on the CD reviews.
- The Retroflection page offers up a message regarding indie artist support.
- We have a new Artz page for this month. We are spotlighting Barbara
Gossen and her work in digital art.
- And in this busy election year I need to vent, so I've added a Politicz page
with political musing from the left.
Some of these new pages will stay, or go depending on whether I have future
submittals. We will see. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the March '08 issue.
There will be a mini-update in a couple of days. Questions, comments can be
e-mailed above.
Peace to All
