As a special addition this month, Indietude is premiering an Arts page designed to highlight the indie art world through some of its artists. This month we are please to feature Barbara Gossen who has a very futuristic style and an eclectic view of our world and beyond. I especially like her use of shadow and light in her underwater and landscape presentations. Enjoy the journey and take a moment to check out her website at: http://www.barbara-gossen.com/
A Little About The Artist
Barbara Gossen was born April 1960, in Schliersee Germany. Growing up in the beautiful mountains and lush scenery of Southern Bavaria the nature around her sparked her artistic creativity. As a teenager she developed her talent for sketching and painting which proved a useful tool in creating jewelry as a certified Goldsmith. In 2000 Gossen took on the Digital Art world. She worked diligently to learn the various programs related to her craft while honing her skills with each system tool. Once mastered, these skills would bring her artistic visions to life.
Within five years time she made her first exhibition with 29 other artists from all over the world at the Authoren gallery in Munich in July 2005. This exhibition was followed by the Galerie Maendl- Lawrance and the Kennedy Project In November 2005. Her work was titled “The Last Thoughts,” to which she received critical acclaim in local news papers who described her as one of the newest talents in the art scene today.
